The Chip Seal Paving Process
The chip seal paving process is not only quick but also provides a much more durable surface. The expert chip seal pavers at Joesph’s starts by spraying hot rubber-based emulsion onto the surface. This is followed by immediately spreading a layer of uniformly-sized aggregate chips. You can choose from the color or the chip we use. Last the hot rubberized asphalt emulsion retains flexibility and doesn’t bleed through the aggregate overlay. Then the new surface is rolled to seat the aggregate. After a short curing time, the pavement is swept of the excess chips and is ready for use!
